Overview
Integrate BambooHR with your business-critical systems to automate HR workflows. This connector enables the synchronization of employee master data, time off requests, and other workforce information.
Key functionalities include:
- Employee Data Sync: Keep employee records consistent across your ERP, CRM, and other internal systems. Automate the creation and updating of employee records based on actions in BambooHR.
- Time Off Management: Process time off requests and their status changes, ensuring that scheduling and payroll systems are always up-to-date.
- Automated Onboarding/Offboarding: Trigger workflows when a new employee is hired or an employee's status changes. Automate account provisioning, training assignments, and benefits enrollment.

Setup steps
To connect your BambooHR account, you will need Administrator access to generate an API key.
- Log in to your BambooHR account with administrator credentials.
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner of the page and select 'API Keys'.
- Click 'Add New Key'.
- Enter a descriptive name for the key (e.g., 'Flows360 Integration') and click 'Generate Key'.
- Copy the generated API key to your clipboard.
- In the Flows360 connection window, paste the API key into the 'API Key' field.
- Enter your company's BambooHR subdomain in the 'Subdomain' field. This is the part of your BambooHR URL that comes before '.bamboohr.com'.
Limitations
- The integration's access level is determined by the permissions of the user who generated the API key. Ensure the user has appropriate permissions for the data you intend to sync.
- The BambooHR API has rate limits. High-volume workflows may need to be throttled to avoid exceeding these limits. Refer to the BambooHR API documentation for specific rate limit details.
- Synchronization of custom fields defined in BambooHR may require additional configuration and mapping within your workflows.
Troubleshooting
My API Key is not working.
- Double-check that the API Key has been copied and pasted correctly without any extra spaces.n2. Verify that the user who generated the key has not been deactivated and still has admin permissions in BambooHR.n3. Confirm that your BambooHR subdomain is entered correctly in the connection settings.n4. Generate a new API key and try again.
Data for some employees is not syncing.
This is often a permissions issue. The API key's access is restricted by the permissions of the user who created it in BambooHR. Check that user's access level and permissions in BambooHR settings to ensure they have visibility into the specific employee records or data fields that are not syncing. You may need to grant additional permissions or use a key from a user with broader access.
